Memories from Mother's Day May 2016

I enjoyed creating our 2016 Mother's Day markets which spanned across two days. I hope you enjoyed visiting them just as much!

The markets were designed to include high tea, handmade stalls, live music by Evie T, fresh flowers, craft classes and florally homemade lemonade by The Little Lemon Co.

Visitors enjoyed making floral brooches with The Createry and Gratitude Jars with Jane Bluehorn.

This year high tea visitors were the recipients of handmade hampers donated by Handmade Redcliffe to Reid's Place guests. A collection of handmade products such as soaps, jams, Tickle the Imagination magazines and handmade toys were inside. Each hamper was valued at $20.00 and each a little bit different - just like handmade should be. The total value donated to Reid's Place was $600 worth of products.

Stall highlights at the markets included Nectar Botanicals, Pickle and Co Fibres and organically grown blooms by Trinkets & Roses arranged just for the Mums.

It's always a joy seeing our amazing family of makers come together.

We worked hard putting our series of markets together in the Wedding Gardens which commenced in February 2015 and hope they brought you a smile. We launched a new look with our white umbrellas and pink signs. We incubated many businesses and helped take them from being an indoor only business to being able to set up shop outside.

Our handmade markets showcased the venue in a new light. We heard time and time again that many of you had never heard of the Wedding Gardens - now you do!

We look forward to our next adventures and taking you along on the ride.

Thank you so much for visiting the Handmade Redcliffe Mother's Day markets. By doing so you threw your support behind local makers and locally made products. We received around 800 visitors!

The mission of Handmade Redcliffe is to provide a home to makers in their own backyard and connect them back to the community.

Now a mature business in its fourth year we look forward to new chapters and growing up - just that little bit more but only with your support and love for locally made.

xx
